Palazzo Polara

Palazzo Polara was built at the end of the 18th century in late baroque style. It is introduced by an elegant staircase and was commissioned to an anonymous architect by a member of the Polara family, whose last descendant, Amalia Polara Lorefice, donated it to the town of Modica and now is the site of the Pinacoteca Comunale (Modern Art Gallery). It is closed for some restoration.
