The huge building of the New Stock Exchange of Genova (La Borsa Valori) was built in 1912, with the curved facade and facing Piazza De Ferrari. This monumental palace, with arched pillared porch, was designed by the local architect Dario Carbone. The huge structure of the palace is perfectly interpolated in between streets of XX Settembre and Dante.At the end of 19th century Genova was the main financial centre of Italy, along with Milano. The old Stock Exchange used to be at the Piazza Banchi in Loggia della Mercanzia.Today this building serve partly to the local Chamber of Commerce and partly for important public events and exsibitions.
