Palazzo dei Mutilati e Invalidi di guerra

The former Palace of the Mutilated of WW1 was made between 1937 and 1939 from the demolition of old houses in the Jewish quarter to create a contemporary and representative area in the city center. The building, consisting in two asymmetrical wings, was designed by the architect M. Focaccia and completed in 1942. In front stands the quotation from Dante "from above descends power that aids me." The attic is decorated with two bas-reliefs of the sculptor U. Pinzauti.
