Palazzo De Leva

Palazzo De Leva is an important palace of Modica. Since the 17th century it belonged to the De Leva or De Leyva family, related to the De Leyva once Governors of Milan and counts of Monza (the same family of the famous "nun of Monza" Marianna De Leyva, who inspired the great write Alessandro Manzoni). It preserves in its courtyard the portal of the destroyed gothic church of St. Philip.
