Monumento a Garibaldi

The equestrian monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi stands in largo Cairoli, in the centre of the piazza where the two sections of Foro Bonaparte meet.The bronze structure, created in 1895 by the artist Ettore Ximenes and the architect Augusto Guidini, depicts General Garibaldi proudly sitting on horseback.The statue is set on a decorative base that is sculpted with groups of figures representing “Revolution” and “Virtue”.
