The northern area of the Palatine is occupied by the vast esplanade with a rectangular shape of the Public Gardens Farnese, the last witness of the sixteenth settlements on the hill.
In fact, the great plateau is nothing more than a sort of hanging garden that covers the remains of Emperor Tiberius dwelling (14-37 AD), the illegitimate son of Livia and Augustus Foster.
