The Círculo de Bellas Artes (abbreviated CBA) is a private cultural institution nonprofit located in Madrid, founded in 1880 by a small number of artists. Since 1921 it was declared in Spain "Protection Center of Fine Arts, public utility". It is a multidisciplinary center, which develops activities ranging from visual arts to literature, through science, philosophy, cinema and the choreography arts. Since its creation, it has played an important work of international scope in the field of creation, dissemination and cultural management, being one of the largest private cultural centers of Europe.
