Chiesa di Santo Stefano

The Church of Santo Stefano is located in the historical center of Vicenza and was built between the late seventeenth and the first half of the eighteenth century on the site of one of the oldest chapels in town. The construction work of the building were followed by Carlo Borella, the facade was enriched by five statues by Giacomo Cassetti, while the Bell Tower and the dome are by Vittorio Barichella. Between the different paintings inside the Church, the most important is surely to Palma il Vecchio depicting the Madonna and child with Saints George, Lucia and Angel musician.
