The Church of St. Anthony of Padua was built before 1600 in Consolo road (ancient name of the north - east neighborhood of Modica). The construction of the religious building was due to the contribution of some benefactors . The disastrous earthquake of 1693 destroyed most part the old Baroque Church , except the bell tower with loopholes. The façade is the eighteenth century.
