Chiesa di San Francesco al Prato

The second Franciscan center in Perugia, dating from the mid XIII Century, has suffered collapses and been rebuilt several times over the years. The façade was rebuilt in 1929 in the Cosmatesque style. The church is without furnishings and is currently undergoing restoration; it will be used as an auditorium. Like many religious structures, after the unification of Italy, the adjoining convent became State property and currently houses the Accademia di Belle Arti “Pietro Vannucci” (Fine Arts Academy) and its museum.
