Area Archeologica del Teatro Romano

The Roman Theater of Turin is part of the Roman remains of the ancient Augusta Taurinorum, including the area of the Archaeological Park in via XX Settembre. Dating back to 13 BC, it was active until the third century and assigned to the infrastructure of the Roman city and to the testimony of conspicuous evidence of the three subsequent construction phases. After centuries of decay it was brought to light in 1899, at the behest of King Umberto I.
